Classrooms & modular offices
Portable classrooms, modular offices and job‑site trailers, where there is no room for a split system.
Bard and Eubank‑style wall‑mount units are a specialty of ours. We service, repair and replace them on classrooms, modular offices and equipment shelters.

Commercial wall‑mount HVAC
A wall‑mount unit is a complete heating and cooling system in one cabinet, hung on an outside wall. The compressor, both coils and the blower are inside it. There is no indoor air handler and nothing on the roof or a pad. Bard is the best‑known maker; Eubank builds similar units.
Not every HVAC company works on them. We do. We service, repair and replace Bard and Eubank‑style units across Jacksonville and the surrounding counties.

Where you find them

Portable classrooms, modular offices and job‑site trailers, where there is no room for a split system.

Shelters that keep electronics cool all year. They often run two units, so one can carry the load if the other fails.

Metal buildings, shops, guard houses and pump houses where a split system won’t fit.
What we do
Both coils cleaned, the drain cleared, the filter changed, electrical connections and controls checked. The outdoor coil faces the weather at eye level, so it collects pollen, grass and salt air.
Capacitors, contactors, fan and blower motors, compressors, refrigerant leaks and controls. We find what failed, show you the reading and give you the price before we touch it.
When a unit is finished, we check the wall opening, the electrical supply and the controls, then size the new one for the building, not just from the old label.
How it works
Tell us what it’s doing. The model and serial number from the label (a photo is fine) and the number of units help. 24/7 for emergencies.
We find what failed and give you the price before we start. The $199 service call goes toward the repair.
We fix it, or if the unit is finished, quote a replacement that fits the opening, the wiring and the building.
If it’s a shelter or a classroom that can’t be without cooling, say so when you call. Rooftop units and commercial split systems are on our commercial HVAC page.
Reviews
“Our outdated A/C system went down for good and I had called multiple other companies with little to no response. I called Great Dane and Mike was at my house in less than 15 minutes.”
“Paul came out and replaced our blower motor and saved the day. He fielded my call on Sunday evening, then did the service Monday afternoon. Friendly, efficient, and professional.”
“They replaced our entire AC unit and did some duct work. Professional staff and excellent communication. Top quality service and work!”

Straight answers, no jargon.
A complete heating and cooling system in one cabinet that hangs on an outside wall. The compressor, both coils and the blower are inside it, and it ducts straight through the wall. There is no indoor air handler and nothing on the roof or a pad. Bard is the best‑known maker; Eubank builds similar units.
Yes. We work on Bard and Eubank‑style wall‑mount units. They are built the same way, and most of the parts that fail are the same kind of part.
Mostly where there is no room for a split system: portable classrooms, modular offices, construction trailers, guard houses, and telecom and equipment shelters.
It depends on what failed and the shape of the cabinet. A capacitor, contactor, fan motor or control is a repair. A failed compressor in a unit that is already rusting through is often not worth it. We tell you which, with the reading that shows it, and give you both prices.
Often, but we check before we quote: the size of the opening and the sleeve, the electrical supply and the controls. We size the new unit for the building, not just from the old label.
At least once a year, and more often where it faces salt air, heavy pollen or trees. The outdoor coil on these units faces the weather at eye level and collects whatever blows past.
$199, and it goes toward the repair.
Yes. We take emergency calls 24/7. Call (904) 512-0091.
The model and serial number from the unit’s label if you can get to it, how many units are on the building, and what it is doing. A photo of the label helps.
